Coopers Creek and Mulky Creek Recreation Area and Wilderness
These two recreation wilderness areas are located in the Coopers Creek Wilderness Area in southwestern Union County, and are only accessible by unpaved forestry roadways. This scenic wildlife and water management area consists of 1,240-acres within a total of 34,000-acres of Coopers Creek Wilderness Area. This recreation and wilderness area offers an old growth forest, camping, stocked trout steams for anglers on both Coopers Creek and Mulky Creek. There are numerous hiking and biking trails and water access for canoeing (water levels must be considered).

Coopers Creek Recreation Area: This primitive recreation area consists of 14-camping areas; each equipped with a tent pad, picnic table, lantern pole, and grill. The campground accommodates tents and trailers up to 22-feet.
No water or electric hook ups, or dump stations available in the campground. The campground does have drinking water and sanitary facilities. Campsites are within an easy walking distance to Coopers Creek for fishing.
Mulky Creek Recreation Area: This primitive recreation area consists of 11-campsites. Each campsite is equipped with a tent pad, picnic table, lantern pole, and grill. No water or electric hook ups or dump stations available in the campground. The campground does have drinking water and sanitary facilities. Campsites are within an easy walking distance to Mulky Creek for fishing.
Campgrounds are open late March thru October 31st.
Campsites are available on a first-come, first served basis.
