Directions: From Highlands, follow Main Street east out of town about 4.5 miles through Horse Cove. When Pavement ends, bear right on Bull Pen Road, and go 1.5 miles.

Blue Valley
Facilities: Camping, Hiking and Restrooms Available.
Season: Open Year Round.
Directions: From Highlands, follow NC 28 south 5.5 miles. Turn right at sign on to Blue Valley Road.

Hurricane Creek Primitive Campground
Facilities: Camping, Picnics, Fishing, Hiking and Restrooms Available.
Season: Open from March 15th to January 1st.
Directions: Go south from Standing Indian on FR 67 (gravel) for 2 miles.

Standing Indian
Facilities: Camping, Picnic Shelter, Fishing, Several Hiking Trails that connect to the Appalachian Trail, Restrooms and Showers Available.
Season: Open from May 1 to October 31.
Directions: From Franklin, take US 64 west for 9 miles, turn left on old US 64 and follow signs.

Van Hook Glade
Facilities: Camping, Hiking, Firepits, Restrooms and Showers Available.
Season: Open from May 1 to October 31.
Directions: From Highlands, take US 64 west for 4 miles, turn right at sign.
